Raw water is sourced from the underlying Paskapoo and Lacombe aquifers from five source wells. The water is then treated and distributed through the existing treatment system and distribution network consisting of two treatment plants, three potable water storage reservoirs, and the distribution pumping system. Upgrades and expansion of the water treatment system and network may need to be implemented to support the population identified in the Plan.
Water System
The water source for the water system is from an artesian aquifer. The system consists of five wells, two treatment plants, three potable water storage reservoirs, distribution pumping systems, raw water supply pipelines and distribution system pipelines.
